All the rules applied in reporting statements are also applicable to reporting questions.

However, there are a few peculiarities in the case of questions.

We use ask as the reporting verb.

If the question in direct speech is a Yes/ No one, we introduce it with if or whether.

If it is a wh– question, the question word (whword) is retained.
