A question we ask at the end of a statement to see whether the listener agrees with what we say is called a question tag. We repeat the auxiliary and the subject in its pronoun form. Normally, we use a negative question tag after a positive statement.

We use a positive tag after a negative statement.

After the imperative, the tag is usually…will you?

After Let’s… the tag is shall we? But after Let us… The tag is will you?

Note that we say… aren’t I? (not, am not I?)
