Grade 8 Grammar Lesson 22 Transformation passive voice (0)

A sentence may be in the ACTIVE or PASSIVE voice. The sentence is in active voice when the doer of the action is placed as the subject. It’s in passive voice when the bearer of the action is in the subject’s place. Therefore when we transform a sentence from active to passive, the first thing we do is bring the object to the subject’s place and use the corresponding passive verb.
