Grade 9 Grammar Lesson 37 Addition to remarks
How do we add a positive remark to a positive statement?
How can we make a positive addition to negative statements?
- When we add a positive remark to a positive statement, we say So + auxiliary + subject and when differing, we say But + subject + auxiliary + not.
- We can also repeat the same statement and add ‘too‘ when we add a positive remark to a statement.
- We use neither/nor +auxiliary verb + subject when we make positive addition to negative statements.
- We can also use the same statement and add either’when we agree with negative statements. But if we differ with negative statements, we use But + subject + auxiliary verb.
