 The present perfect continuous tense is formed by:

• subject + have/has (n’t) + been + present participle. .
• Have/has (n’t) + subject + been + present participle.?
• Wh + have/has (n’t) + subject + been + present participle.?

We use the present perfect continuous for an action that began at a past time and is still going on at present.

For long actions of the past having the effect at present

When the action takes a short time to happen, we use the present perfect; we use the present perfect continuous when the action takes

How long.? is used to ask questions. Answer to it is often given using since, for, recently, lately.
