Grade 8 Grammar Lesson 13 The simple future tense (II)
When do we use ‘will’?
When do we use ‘shall’?
We use will when we decide to do something at the time of speaking. The second speaker instantly decides to go and lock the door and says: I will go and lock it.
We often use ‘I think I will’ or ‘I don’t think I will’ for decisions.
We often use will in these situations:
Agreeing to do something
Promising to do something
