Grade 8 Grammar Lesson 29 Causatives: make, get and have
What are causative verbs?
When do we use the verbs ‘make’ and have’?
When do we use the verb ‘get’?
What is the difference between ‘make’, ‘have’ and ‘get’?
Make, have and get are causative verbs.
We use a causative verb to say what the subject does through an agent.
When the subject uses some kind of force, or authority to cause someone or something (the agent) to do certain things, we use make as causative verb.
