Grade 7 Grammar Lesson 13 Sentence transformation (0)

The change of a sentence from one structure to another without altering its meaning is called transformation. This can be done in various ways.

An affirmative sentence can be transformed by using double negatives. An assertive sentence can also be turned into a rhetorical question (a question that asserts a fact rather than ask for information) It is usually negative for a positive statement and positive for a negative statement.

Sometimes, we can transform a sentence from assertive to exclamatory especially if it contains a descriptive adjective.
