A phrase is a group of words meaning something. In the conversation above, a nice moneybag is a phrase naming something.
One distinctive feature of a phrase is that it may contain a verb and it is never a finite verb.
According to the work it does in a sentence, a phrase may be called a noun phrase, an adjective phrase or an adverb phrase.
A noun phrase is one that acts as the subject or object of a verb in a sentence.
Noun phrases are usually made with infinitives and participles if a verb is involved.
