Grade 7 Grammar Lesson 10 Modals

We use should and ought to for advice, recommendation and expectation.

In the negative form we use shouldn’t and oughtn’t.

Note that oughtn’t is followed by an infinitive without to.

We use used to to talk about past states and habits that are no more true.

The negative form is didn’t use to.
